Hi there everybody!! Hope you are all peachy and grand!!! I'm Hippie_Girl! I am 23 years old, I drink, I smoke and am a born and bred Welsh lass - who is fluent in our fine language! I am also an oldie of this forum but also a goodie! I work for a voluntary organisation as an admin assistant - the org' helps fund community projects and give people advice on where to find voluntary work all within Wales. This year has been a wonderful year for me where I got engage to my boyfriend of nearly 5 years so planning for that which will come around next year is in tow.. EEK! I have many like, I love to paint, play games, chill out, have fun, drinkin tea, have a laugh, dance, shiny things, juggling, music, films, reading, JD, Gin, shandy's, cocktails (ooo I said cocktails!), giraffes, lego and washing my clothes - yes that last one is true! My one big favourite past time is photography! I dislike MOTHS! Rudeness, paper cuts! I am currently addicted to the ol' game of Donkey Kong Country! Anyway.. I look forward to a good old fashioned grilling, baking, frying etc.. so go on do you worst.. I'm ready for y! xxx
I used to love Donkey Kong Country! Which was your favourite of the three games? And what are your favourite all time games? Kup of koffee?
Hello you ... I remember having some late night drunken MSN conversations with you many moons ago and deciding that you have fantastic taste in music What's your favourite band at the moment? Any top albums of 2006 so far?
WELLLLLL to be honest I have never played any of them before. But I am lovin it!! I'm facing the croc king thing at the mo and its solid!! I saw John playing the third one the other day but it didn't look as good! I was more of a Sega lass myself which brings me nicely to the answer to the next question... SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!! I love it! I actually still have a Master System and a Mega Drive 2!!! As children we used to take it in turns to do each level of Sonic and then when it was dinner time we would leav the console on and just change the channel on the TV so not to loose the game! Until someone kicked the console that is! Ooo a Kup of Koffee would be loverly thank you... any of the *special* cookies around?!
Yes we did din't we?! I know who you are or well used to be from your karma Kafe entry.. anyhow... My favourite band at the moment.. hummm... toughy... I am lovin my friend Emma Rugg at the moment she has a beautiful voice and she very accoustic! Ermmm... The Arctic Monkey are another band I just love as well as Kaiser Chiefs. I haven't really heard many new stuff... I am totally lovin Welsh band Radio Luxenbourg and at the mo we have a grand music scene here in West Wales... its wonderful! Hummm any top albums of 2006.. The Zutons album is wonderful, Thea Gilmore 'Harpo's Ghost', Lily Allen 'Alright Still' ... all very good! xxx
It was all about the SNES and Mario! Silly Sega girl! What's your happiest childhood memory? And yes, have a *special* biscuit....
I'm going sailing in Wales on Thursday, Milford Haven, Pembrookeshire. They are building a MASSIVE pipeline there at the moment, it's a huge construction and fascinating to watch from the water. It's going to supply 20% of the UK's gas using new massive tankers (50% bigger than normal ones). Only problem is the pipelines are going through national trust land and they are having trouble getting permission to put the pipes through. No doubt it will be pushed through. Trivia ends.
Haahaa!!! My happiest childnood memory... hummmm... I was a very happy child throughout really... but I guess a very happy memory of mine is going on day trips with my family to Oakwood or to have picnics by lakes and stuff! Also running around on both my grandparents' farms. Could I have a *special* biscuit please?
Yes I do like Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, and oneof their albums shall be my next purchase as I don't have any. I also really like what I have hear from Euros Childs! Have you heard any?! Many members of GZM are in Radio Luxembourg. That line you have posted is a classic line to show how grand GZM are! (For those of you who don't know what that meant I shall translate Everytime you they're near I feel like a sandwich) xxx
Ooo I hope you have a wonderful time! Pembrokeshire is beautiful! Yes that area is heavily conserved by the National Trust and by RSPB! I hope it doesn't go through. ALso the caves of Pembrokeshire were where passing pirates used to hide from the ROyal Navy and hid their loot!!! Ahhh trivia xxx
Yes I do get annoyed by people! Some within work but I usually leave that alone like cos its only work. I get annoyed when sometimes I'm having an off day I get the feeling that I'm not allowed to as I am generally a smiley loverly happy person! If that makes sense! Also I get annoyed by overly rude people.. actually some days I just get annoyed at people!! heehee!! Oh and those people who do not use indicators!! Grrrr! Yeah I do have some annoying habits.. I guess I can be a bit of a nag.
I've heard a bit of Euros' stuff, not much, only a few tracks. I've not heard of Radio Luxembourg but if they have some Gorky's in them, I shall check them out! Cheers, Mike "Pen Gwag Glas" B.
I want to be happily married probly with a child. I would like to be a researcher for documentary film or have a hand in working with charities (like now). I want to still be as mad as I am! I would also like to have learnt another language and been to many other place in the world. I would also like to have completed a course in photography and finished reading my book! heehee!
Before I answer this question! Sorry I haven't answered it sooner or been around much but we have been experiencing comouter mishaps!!! All should be fine now! I would most like to work on documentaries about the natural world! I think it could be very facinating!! Me and giraffes?! Well good question!!!! I have no idea! I just really think they are amazing animals - they are mutes - and are just so pretty! Where the amazement of them came from is beyond me!!!!
How do you feel about all the signs in Wales being in Welsh and English? Does it bug you? I found it really warming to be able to drive around and see both Welsh and English on the signs... don't know why!!
I think it is fantastic!!! I find it very warming too!!! As a speaker of the language it is nice to see that people don't think its dead! Even though I think the Welsh language nat's are a bit agressive with it all and I'm not overly fond of them.. but still! Its odd, I went to Cornwall and I saw some signs in Cornish and English and I could only read one language - although Cornish and WElsh are pretty similar - it was a very strange experience! I highly intend to bring up any child of mine to speak Welsh - even if not in Welsh, then me and my loverly can have a comp to see whether and English or a Welsh word is said first... heehee! - I shall speak to him/her in Welsh. Its all very wonderful! Its not a dead language at all! Partd of my family cannot speak English very well! Sorry I ranted a wee bit then and went off topic! xxx
