Ok I am trying to recall an episode of Star Trek where these harmless creatures on a planet had once been very numerous but had dwindled due to a shortage of salt. They could also put on the appearence of being a beautiful woman. The themes of it were how the body can control the mind due to addiction or nutrient deficiency, how some creatures will remain harmless given the right conditions and the usual perception/reality thing. So what episode was it, anyone?

Trebbles are cute little fluffy animals. And it would be cruel to spade or neuter a harmless trebble... [IMG]

bummer though, wasn't much of a "marathon".....i. mudd, the menagerie parts 1 and 2, and the enemy within

did i just come in late and miss the other episodes they were running? at least they're going to make it a nightly thing - hope they don't hack it up in editing like sci-fi channel did

they're running it all weekend, aren't they?......i managed to catch a few more episodes last night

i must admit i dig the whole series - filmed during a time when method acting was all the rage - you can really see the characters get into it!

what are some of everyone's fave episodes?

They are running some of the more well-known episodes, particularly tonight...the lineup includes 'Doomsday Machine', 'Spectre of The Gun', 'Assignment:Earth' and of course, 'The Trouble With Tribbles'...but I'm still gonna watch.
