Alright newbs listen up, shrooms don't make your brain bleed, if you think they do you are a fucking moron (or DEA agent)
This is ok if you don't know any better, so to avoid this it's education time.
The drug in shrooms, like LSD, binds with serotonin receptors, changing how your brain sees things. You are basically taking out your brains natural camera lense and inserting a new one, that will provide you with amusement for 5-12 hours before your body goes "HEY! WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!?" and throws it out.
Now it's time to explore the brain bleeding theory.
According to almost every idiot I know at school, the shrooms contain a poison which makes your brain bleed, even puts holes in it, and the blood makes you see shit. Wow, what a sound theory. By this logic, blood is hallucinogenic, and therefore you would be tripping 24/7 since birth because well there is always blood in our veins. The counter argument to this is "No you only trip when your brain bleeds" So when blood gets on your brain. Alright lets explore what happens in this situation. (search brain bleed on google and...) http://health.allrefer.com/health/hemorrhagic-stroke-complications.html
Hemorrhagic stroke, causes brain to bleed, damaging surrounding tissue, and resulting in that amazing list of complications.
*note tripping balls isnt listed there*
Infact I bet you could ask any doctor you wanted and none would say that a bleeding brain causes you to see shit, more likely they'd say a bleeding brain causes you to die, or become paralyzed.
So unless you're dead or paralyzed your brain wasn't bleeding.
LSD likewise doesn't make your brain bleed.

Now you can argue with me, I can't stop you, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to hear "Those sites are fake!" at least once, or something along the lines of the internet being 100% false and I'm an idiot for believing the brain doesnt bleed during a shroom or acid trip... but then until you pull a Dr. Mengele on me and slice your friends head open to observe his brains bleeding while on shrooms or acid, you have no counter proof, infact you don't even have meager internet websites to support your theory. All you have is you and some stoner friends promoting a myth.

Stomp out myths, they are annoying as fuck.

Hahaha I had a dealer tell me the blue on the mushrooms is LSD, and he was charging more because of that.
I also heard a guy say that LSD was made of ratpoison, and you hallucinate because you're dieing.

lsd snaps a nerve in the back of your neck, and if it doesnt come back together that is how people stay in trips.
lsd breaks your two brain sides in two peices, and if they dont come back together then you stay.
i got told this from the same person at the same time, and repeatedly told to "shut up you think you know everything, this guy has actually done it so he'd know"

but you know what? who cares man, who cares, cos look how blue the sky is.

I find the use of the word hallucinogenic almost innapropriate because should be used as an adjective. Although some dictionaries list it as both adjective and noun, the word hallucinogen is more fitting. lol... yea it's always bothered me.
