This is an awesome existensial comedy, any fans here? David O. Russel is a complete genius for capturing the fruit of human existence and experience... you can definatly tell he has tripped a fair share to by some of the dialogue in the film. Every time I watch it I enjoy it more and feel so good about my own life.
I loved that movie. I watched it with some friends, and they thought it was boring, but if you're really paying attention, there are a lot of hilarious things going on in the film.
i really want to see that film... i'm sort of an existentialist freak, or so everyone in my head thinks
i watch that movie almost once a day. i love that movie. i can just put it on and chill with it like a friend. its like a really good album or something. "if you look close enough you can't see where your nose ends and space begins"
Yea the musical score is wonderful, Jon Brion composed it. He also happened to do the music for the new Kanye West cd haha.
that movie never gets old... because you think you get it, and then realize there is so much more to get.
i saw it when it first came out, then i saw it used in blockbuster the other day so i bought it definitly worth the $4.99
^^^^ Me too. Saw it at the movies and it imapcted me so much......while its so funny, i can't deny it hasn't had an impact on my life in getting me more interested in existentialism.
sounds like a movie about a hippy, some granola and the appalachian trail! if you want to see a movie about existential philosopy you should try WAKING LIFE!
i love it... i must have seen it 10 times by now,.. it's always on tv and i never get tired of it, it's good, it's not to dark and not too sweet, it's accurate
Ahaha...that movie is great. I have that image of Dustin Hoffman and the blanket, like, tattooed in my mind. "This is you, and this is me, and this is the Eiffel tower..."
i saw it the day after i droped acid for the first time when i came down my best friend who took it with me told me are trip was like that so i got it next day and made me smile i didn't realy find it funny though
I love love love that movie. And it's deepish side is great but I also thought it was hillarious - "You rock, rock" is some great poetry and like amp7325 said, if you pay attention there is so much funny shit in the background, like Dustin Hoffman wearing two pairs of glasses or driving with the windscreen wipers on...I also cracked up when they ride their bikes to that house full of Christians and in the background one of the kids playing basketball has a huuuge moustache. and of course there's Lily Tomlin's dive into the car. Makes me laugh every single time.
