Not only a hat, but it moves. I have this since I practiced meditation in a yoga course, these monkeys made us do "fire breathing" (fast) for 3 month... since then I have this "hat" sensation, that moves on my head, and now even on my forehead and yesterday the sensation entered my left eye like a slug, and started to hurt inside my head. I also went thru, 5 years ago something that was very close to all I read about kundalini awakening... might have a relation. the things that have worked for temporary removal of these unpleasant sensations: -call for a blue and white light to fill my whole body, then just suggest to complete with the head. (the light body gains over the sensation) (quite long and not easy) -not pay attention to it and try to sleep (very hard) -move, use my hands to sweep them (not the best at all) -calming down all energy motion in the area (not always sufficient) I am by now only able to prevent (may god want this is acquired) these things to enter my eyes... and start a headache. (balancing between left and right) I am searching for some idea that would let me be freed from these "alive" forms of overactivity in the head, but, you know... permanently!
Sounds like a Sri Sri Ravi Shankar side effect. I can only suggest chanting on your favorite mantra. Something healing like a Medicine Buddha or Ashvins, Tara, etc. Chanting is good for guiding the pranas in an effortless manner. There's a Chod troupe moving through the US right now. That's always good for balance. See Ammachi. She heals with hugs. To balance it's good to get to a pure retreat environment around good people of spiritual knowledge.
I don't know any mantra and for sure I'm in a most unpure environnement and my familly is anti-spirituality
Best way is just search in web. I'm sure in Your neighbour You can find some peoples who can help with their knowledge and skills. Buddism starting being very popular on whole world so You have big chances and many posibilities as well.
Different energies swirl their ways around me from time to time too. I just try to relax and breathe through the moment, then be thankful that the Universe popped in to say hello to me.
