i was just wondering what everybody thinks about art in general...all types of art. i'm a musician, and i'm not that bad at writing, but acting and drawing i've never really given myself a chance at and i don't think that i'm that good at them. but then again i've never really tried. but what do you all think about art? is it possible to be good at certain arts and terrible at other arts or do you have to at least have some skills at all arts to be a real artist?
I think not, because if you were equaly good at every type of art, you wouldn't be as good at art as if you had just spent all that time on one type. I chose drawing, and recently i've been playing the drums, but mostly drawing.
I believe most people will have a main art. Some will do more, look at Lennon and Garcia and Slick's work. Some of the worst digital art I've ever seen was by a well known drummer, but he's happy, and so are his collectors. But if they diddn't have BK's name on them, I wonder if they'd sell at all. Even visual artists will have a speciality, or a place where it truly is the art of their heart.
