Come to find out last night, my in laws hate me. My wifes had a family reunion on sunday, I didn't go, cause I had better things to do. I guess that during the trip to and from the reunion, my wifes step mom is accusing me of being a meth head, which is a bunch of shit. I would love to piss for them, then rub it in their faces, litteraly. They all keep trying to convince her that I am running her life, which is also a bunch of shit. We are married, in a partnership, and we both make choices. There is a bunch of other shit too, but I am not going to get into all of it. My wife and I agree that if they are talking shit about me to her, then who knows what kinda shit they are talking to my son while I'm not around. Neither of us are against them never seeing their grandkids if they don't knock it off. Hippies and rednecks just don't mix well I guess. I tried, I made every effort to get along with them, I listened to their crap, with a smile, and didn't argue with them, even though my opinion differ greatly from her militay dad's. I have offered to help them in everyway I could. Now I am saying fuck them. Needless to say, I am not renewing the rental contract in january. Don't know where I am going to live yet, but I will figure it out. I just need to finish with my schooling, so I can get as far away from our families as possible. They can see the kids a couple of times a year, during the holidays, under close parental supervision. I am not going to have her parents trying to turn my son against me. Skye doesn't like my wifes dad anyway. I try to be family oriented, but it's hard when the family hates you
A good perscription for medling inlaws! Hell dude the sell home piss tests, go over with her for a visit, piss in the bottle, whip out the test show em and say this is to clear the record and then take out a peice of hair and hand it to them say it tests even longer and walk out!
my inlaws hated me, too. until dave told them to fuck off or they weren't going to see him anymore. that sorta settled it.
Hey, HL, I've been there. I AM there. My FIL just died. Went to see him, when he was dying in the hospital, and all he could do was insult me, and my little one, and my parenting AND my daddy. WTF? The man was DYING. You think he might have been looking for peace and settling things, not starting more. Then he was going on about how he says the Rosary 10 times a day........while treating his family like shit. Yeah, dude, if you think THAT'LL get you into heaven.......... My MIL is OK. I feel bad for her, married to a man like that all these years (54 years, I think.) MY FIL couldn't stop trying to bait me, even in my own house. He once was in MY bathroom, found a Grateful Dead magazine, with a story about "Deadheads in jail" and starts attacking ME about how all people who smoke pot SHOULD be in jail for the rest of their lives. Uh, that would include his son, I'm afraid. All I said was "Not everything that is against the law is Morally wrong. And not every which is Morally Wrong is against the law." He spat "BULLSHIT!" in my face and threw the mag on the floor. What is WRONG with people like this? Hmmmm. My kids didn't cry when he died OR at his funeral.
yeah, it sucks. I think that they need to let my family be my family. We got a lecture the other day about us not both working. "The only way to make it in todays society is for both parents to work and for the children to go to daycare". They don't like my opinion on daycare, or much of anything else for that matter. Fuck them, who are they to judge me. When my wifes mom got pregnant with my wife, he told her to get an abortion. Good parenting huh? I thik his opinion might of been helpful to her when she was 12, living with different relatives everytime she turned around because he didn't want her. Fuck him. They are from a family where money comes first, family comes second. I wasn't raised that way, and my son won't be raised that way either. That sucks! Wow, I haven't met my significant others family yet. But, his dad called here once hammered to tell me what a couple of losers his two oldest sons are..I'm still not sure what to make of that.. I hated his stepmom from the second I heard her voice..She's kinda mean, & judgemental from talking with here, & from what I've heard. Fortunately for my man, I barely have any family.
