I just switched from 1 brand of b.c to another (Levlen to Portia). They are supposed to be generics of the same brand Levora. But recently, I have been bleeding during the middle of the month and it's really annoying. How common is this? Is this just a normal stage? Should I be getting worried? Sorry if someone's already posted this, it is on my mind a lot. Peace and Love
Hiya, Just popped in to let you know its totally normal for some break through bleeding with new contraception.. it normally dies down after 3 cycles Hope this puts your mind at ease
It is probably just your body adjusting to the change. I's give it some more time, but if it keeps up you may need to call your GYN.
when I had mid-cycle bleeding on BCP, it was because of ovarian cysts. Doc kept adjusting the dosage, trying different brands, but the cysts didn't go away until I stopped taking the pills altogether (even though the general treatment for them is to put woman on BCP).
How long should I bleed between periods? I've been bleeding for almost two weeks now with no signs of stopping... What, if anything, could this mean? Peace and love
it probably means your body is not tolerating the synthetic hormones well. Do you have the package insert sheet from the new pills? I'd read it if I were you. If you don't have it, I'm sure you can find it online somewhere.
could it be due to stress? I just started college and I'm under a lot of stress at the moment. Peace and love
