I don't know if I know, I do dig a lot of films from over yonder, so maybe I've seen one or two. Is he in the same realm as this Takashi Miike fellow? Seen a couple of his recently...Fucked up.

And this might seem strange to bring up depending on who Wook is...But how good was House of Flying Daggers? :)

Park Chan Wook isn't Takashi Miike, no. Miike is the better director, imho. Park did Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy, and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. Which are brilliant, but not quite as brilliant as Takashi Miike.

Park Chan Wook, Takashi Miike, and another director, Fruit Chan all worked on a DVD called "Three Extremes", three short horror stories from Korea, Japan and China respectively, all available on one DVD. The stories are on the whole really good. And pretty extreme too..! Park's is the most silly though, he's not quite got the balance between horror and surreal comedy that Miike has, as far as i'm concerned.
