Whats your point of view on living natural? Whats really natural living to you ? I am just wondering lol Peace <3 Katy
Living like animals do? I'm loving it, but on a short period of time, I can't do that for a mounth or 2 like I used to do.
how does one manage food when doing this? I wouldn't want to trap and kill animals but on the other hand living for a few months in the forest seems like you wouldn't be able to pack enough food.
I live naturally by doing things in my life more naturally. Eat organic. Use natural products around the house. Buy in bulk, recycle, etc... Drive as little as possible. The little things add up.
To me, living naturally is being resourceful and finding/building your own shelter, food, etc. Being self sufficient. And if you throw in the organic stuff, recycling and all the other good things in between, well that's even better.
Moonjava, whose those people in your sig pic? To me living natural is walking around naked, living under bushes, eating whatever grows in the area and licking dew off the leaves.
Great book for it is http://www.amazon.com/gp/explorer/0967877776/2/ref=pd_lpo_ase/102-2571055-7334543?ie=UTF8 http://outdoors-magazine.com/s_links.php good site
I live naturally by growing my hair out and not cutting it, I like to have hair on my legs and arms, I like to be naked as much as possible, I like to camp as much as possible, Im a vegan, I dont consider my choice of been a vegan natural, Its my personal choice of I want to treat other as I want to be treated, I want to love animals. I care for my animal friends. I drink 8 glasses of water a day. I like to drink fresh water when I go camping. I like to wear as less amount of clothing as possible. Naked is natural. I like to be at one with my mother nature, to take care of me.
Hmm... guess my idea of natural would be a little different from most people on here. I believe in living in a way we would have when we were less "civilized" animals. This includes using the land and/or sea to provide for your every need. All you need is a few tools. Build shelter, forage and grow some food, and definitely kill some animals to eat them. It's what we've always done. I respect not eating meat as a philosophy and went 5 years as a veg, but that is more of a philosphical exercise than living naturally. Living natually is living off the land and/or sea. It can't be done without the power-packed punch of eating other animals once in a while - at least in northern climates. I don't claim to be doing any of this yet, but I'm hard at work changing every day to get closer to this ideal, prehistoric existance.
ok: we could go back to cavemen living: hunting, nomadism yeah, u know, the prehistoric thing--- the thing is: we need to think SOLIDARLY: if everybody would live like that, it wont be possible at all! we are FAR TOO MANY on this earth.: wild animals would die out in no time (there are many examples on earth where tribes actually ate too many of a certain species and it died out: one example is the maories that ate/killed all the big almost-emu-kind-of.birds on NZ: there are totally gone today) SO, we can still live naturally, i beleive in that! BUT we live in new times and need to ADAPT! for instance: we can live on less... there are people out there who live on 1/5 of the normal calorie intake, and feel absolutely GREAT. And , beleive it or not, there a very few people (gurus and others super enlightened souls) who neihter drink nor eat. i dont say that that is the solution, because, normal humans cant do that. i'm just sayin: less MATERIAL (=food for instance) living could be an answer: & STILL be living NATURAL, because you would use more of air and light energy to survive.
I agree wholeheartedly with both posts above this one. Although, call me crazy but I think it would be great if we all lived like cavemen and half the population died off. There are too many people. The Earth is having trouble sustaining all of us.
I agree on being with Mother Nature! If you put your dependence on her she'll take care of you. I do shave though, except when I am living in the woods for a while.
Sorry, double quoting. But to live naturally it's best to escape society, which IS possible. I go and live in the forest for a few days, take some of my friends. Sleep under the stars, bath in the river, stuff like that. Living naturally is best for people that want to escape society. Trees are nicer than people anyways.
Yeah, it's possible, but to make that your way of life...You can move up to the mountains and live naturally, but in an urban enviroment like the one in which I live I've found it to be pretty impossible. It's a nice retreat doing that stuff, but to live day after day like that takes commitment in this day and age.
