And now they're shorter Damn deputy principal and its ''you gotta get your haircut in the next week mr.Tétreault'' Eh well, i asked my little sister to do it, and the results aren't bad . I'd even say they are pretty good... And on a completely unrelated subject, i've got a quite good cold. I've got fever, some of my ganglions are irritated making it hard for me to swallow anything annnnnd my ears hurt . All things must pass eh Yeah well that's pretty much it ..
Schools are a learning environnement and long hair must indicate something like i dunno rebelliousness or someshit like that The official reason my school gives is that when we'll be older and that we'll need a job , most employers are less willing to hire somebody who sports long hair ...
Haha, good one. At one point I was attenting one of the top 50 catholic schools in the nation, so I can tell you first hand they have large sticks up their asses.
no arguments there ~ it sucks though it was hard for me to get a job with pinK in my hair even worser when it had about 4 colours.....since i have played it down...things are starting to look better :H *wellll anywaz* get well soon and remember next time an apple a day keeps the doctor away lol
I can't believe schools still force people to get haircuts! That's crazy to me. I didn't know they could do that, maybe it's different in Canada. My dad got thrown out of high school for not cutting his hair but that was back in the 60s. It's so pointless.
I had the most beautiful dreads but the school dubbed them, 'rebellious' so now I look like a jarhead.
Hah. When my dad was 15 in 1961, they tried to kick him out because he had longish hair... So he kept it long and combed it all up on top of his head in jellyroll/ducktail kinda do. aaaahah. I think it's completely terrible that your school makes you cut your hair. What would they do if a girl shaved her head, I wonder? I haven't done a thing to my hair at alllll since I shaved all off again it last November. I have a horrible cold too. Everyone I know has the very same one.
Oh, and whoever said "maybe its still like that in Canada," it's not. Just at Antoine's crackhead Principal's school. My school promotes weirdities. It's just a plain ole public school... Lots of the male teachers even have long hair at my school...
Well, i'm going to a private school. (In Québec the governement pays like over 60% of the tuition so it's not that expensive even for middle-class famillies) So yeah, their arguments are bullshit but i'm graduating this year. And what's sad is that last year, the deputy principal in charge of the Secondary III, IV and V years didn't care about hair lenght but it's like this year he decided a crackdown on guys with long hair.
Last time I had one was seven months ago. I had hair beneath my shoulders, took a few inches off, though it was still long. Before that, I didn't cut it since I was about 13. I only took a little off the ends every now and then so I didn't have split-issues. I still have the dreads that Meg did.
