I just found out that out of all the social security money we received from my dad's death my mom has only saved $500 I only have $500 for college I HATE borrowing money, and I really hate the idea of being in debt for years after I graduate now, I want to be a journalist, furthermore, I want to be a novelist how important do you think attending college would be for these professions? journalism I can see being hard to get into without the college education but as far as novelist - I don't see college having too much of an effect really, it seems like more of a hit or miss thing what do you people think?
community college might be a good decision for you. its a lot cheaper than regular college/universities. and if you do well, you might get a free ride to finish off a degree. or you can just go and take the classes you want to take, classes that will aid you in your future or writing.
I have thought myself about going into some sort of writing study as a thing to do for maybe someday a career, though at the present I am disabled and due to my social anxiety and agorriphobia, and panic disorder I am not able to attend university around people and outside the home and have thought about the possibity of trying to check into some sort of Creative Writing or other type of internet classes and start from there. I have not really done alot of research as to what is available out there on line as far as studies on line in this area of interest, only believe there should surely be some sort of on-line college courses that may be alot less costly than tuition and housing of university. yeah I was thinking about that for a year or two anyways I get $7200 social security money extra if I go to college straight out of highschool meaning that it would pay for me to take a full 2 year transfer program at CCAC (communty college of allegheny county) but what I am thinking, is maybe just take one year and then blow it off and do soemthing else with myself I would make out with like $4000 from that deal =D
hey, i got $3200 from the Army just for participating in ROTC for 2 years i'd think about it. get some classes done, maybe find something you enjoy and want to do for a career. who knows, maybe you can go just to network
