I will have some time and money to travel around the US next summer, maybe drive coast to coast, something I have never done. I would like to spend at least a month on the road. While I'm on the road, I want to stay in cheap accomodations - hostels, tent, occasional motel. I want to go out and explore, meet new people, and realistically I want to party too. But, I have a dog. How do I do all of this and travel solo with a dog? Any advice? Or should I leave her at home with friends - which seems like a burden and shirking my responsabilities as a dog owner - plus I will miss her. Or should I just stay home?
