I'm looking for a pattern for men's drawstring pants, with a crotch gusset for flexibility and on-seam front pockets. Does anyone know of a commercial pattern (McCalls, etc) I can buy? Thanks
All of the major pattern companies, and some small ones for that matter, have easy to navigate web sites where you can browse their pattern collections. You might check Burda.
seems you have a very clear idea of what you want, why not take a pair like that you already have and make a pattern from them? Or just go to any fabric store and start looking through the pattern catalogues. I'd start with Simplicity or McCall's because their instructions are usually easier to follow.
www.simplicity.com Just click on "simplicity apparel" and then in "unisex/scrubs" patterns...they have some scrubs and lounging type pants in there...
I have one for mens jeans. plus you can try thrifyt stores, many of them have old paper patterns and theyre real 70's looking. Unfortunately a lot of the comercial pattern companies dont cater for men. My pattern is a Kwik Sew 2124 Pattern for memory, its a new one too so it might still be available. looks like : Burda have a really nice style of mens flared pants, you know for the jounger crowd but you can always get a straight leg pattern and taper it where its needed to suit your style. *just try and look past the dorkiness of this particular pic*
omg I'm sorry I got it all wrong. As for drawstrings with a crotch gusset, thats easyish. Just make regular pj pants with drawstring instead of elastic and put a diamond shaped insert in the crotch
