i heard this from many ppl that it can hit main viens and bleed you death and stuff but its kinda off putting cos i really want one but im worried, and how much will it cost etc... some things about it im unsure about, can someone put my mind at ease please
Look around your town and talk to people, to find a good quality shop. If you're getting it professionally done, no need to worry about bleeding to death. I've found that the cheaper the piercing the less quality the shop is, at least around here, so you'll prolly end up paying around $30-$60 for it, but that could be different since I don't live in the same place as you.
I had my tongue pieced bout 3 months after nearly 7 years of contiplating it, and it didn't hurt at all.... my mates had theirs done the week b4 and they had theirs numbed, i didn't and they had so much trouble with theirs afterwards. the only thing i had was a little swelling for a couple of days and deprived of food for the same amount of time. it cost me £30 but they put a replacement bar in after a week or 2 from a large bar to a small when the swelling goes down. as long as you keep washing your mouth out with mouthwash after, eating drink and smoking you'll be fine
Ok, I had to check the post dates on this forum to make sure I wasnt looking at posts from 1998. People are still getting tongue piercings.. or any sort of piercings. Wow. Well I can tell you this, I had an Uncle who was still wearing satin pants, wide collars and medalion jewelry well into the 80s. I swear he still has a bottle of 'High Karate' in his bathroom.
Hell they're still drawing crap on their bodies... cept it's called 'art'. Bright ass orange shag carpet seems to be in use again...
I have mine done i was scared i walked out of the shop at first then went back it is the best thing i ever did...i will tell you for me it hurt like nothing ever did in my entire life i cant explain it worse then my tatoo but it only last like 1 min and then it is amazing it looks good and is fun
i have my tongue pierced and it's fine i've had it for 3years. it only costed me 37.28 if u want someone that's good u'll pay alot. well not alot just resnuble
tongue piercings are regarded as the least painful piercing (so im not sure what happened with jean up there..) and there is very little risk whatsoever, other than those involved with having a bad piercer. the bleeding and paralysis rumours are just that. complete urban myth. even if getting the tongue pierced off centre (where the nerves actually are) the damage you can possibly do to them is minimal. if you think you can bleed to death from a 1.6mm needle, how do you think people survive cutting a line straight through the middle of it.
