I cant be bothered to find a forum related to this so i'll just ask here..

I'm 15, and last xmas i started growing facial hair (well only a tash)
Thats all normal i guess but i have only shaved about 5 times this year! How come it is growing so slowly? Other guys have to shave every other day, so how come i dont?

    Please reply.

I know 17yr olds that don't even have enough facial hair to shave yet. I wouldn't worry about it. It'll come in. A lot of guys start getting some facial hair, but don't get a whole lot for a few years. Sometimes it takes a while for it to stop being "patchy" too.

Put some fire soot on it. JK. Not that I would know anything about manly facial hair but what happens if you shave everyday even if there is no hair there. The more you shave it, the faster and courser it grows right? Or is it just that way for pubic hair?

My boyfriend is almost 21 and his facial hair grows veeeeery slowly.
So don't worry about it, everyone's different.
Besides, you should enjoy your smooth face while you can.

Be very glad that your facial hair isn't growing fast, be very glad. Most young guys can't wait until they start to grow facial hair but when you actually realize how many times a week, month, year you have to shave and shave and shave just to have a smooth face it gets very annoying. And if you are acne prone forget about it because every time to shave you will have all new ance near the shave site and little red shaving bumps that itch. If only you knew.

Well i did get those red marks, but that was only when i put after shave on afterwards. When i shaved the other day it was pretty smooth and no red marks. Although the stubble is itchy and its really annoying.

don't worry about it. i am 23 and cannot grow a moustache, beard, long sideburns, or anything of anykind really. Since about 21 I have had to shave everyday because if i don't it looks like i have dirt on my face in certain spots. Look at your dad or any older siblings, my brother could grow a goatee at 24 so i figure I ain't too far off but who knows. Shaving is a pain.

Someone at school said every time you shave (when you first start to) the next time you will need to shave is cut down 3 weeks. So if you shaved, then needed to shave again 2 months later, after that you would need to shave approx 5 weeks later, dont know if its true or not though.
