ive never been to one.. matter of fact the only place like that i ever been was "seattles best coffee" in the atlanta airport.. an im sorry aint no cup of coffee worth 3 bucks..,,,
personally, i don't like starbucks - i'm a dunkies man. but they do have good business sense, in that they open stores catering to there clientele
i admit i am starbucks junkie... but i love to support local coffee shops as well! as long as its coffee i'm happy!
You like their coffee? Straight or one the 'flavored' ones? *curious* I agree w/'The coffee sucks....yuck!'...
I love my coffee, but I've never had StarBucks. I've been in StarBucks with other people while they're getting some, but I've never gotten any there myself. I must say though, when I walk in there, I start salivating!
I also like it fresh/industrial strength... and black. My taste complaint is it all seems to be overly bitter. I've had much stronger coffee that wasn't as bitter...
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I hate starbucks it leaves that nasty funk in your mouth. I would rather lick Ganja's ass then drink that stuff.
I'll drink the occasional cup without qualms or complaints. I used to be really opposed to Starbucks but my perspective has changed a bit--there are so many bigger fish to fry. It's just coffee, after all.
As a matter of fact, I must admit, I am a minority in this case... I LOVE STARBUCKS!!!! There. The secret is out, and I have come out of the closet with it.
I get a small half whole/half skim extra foam latte with cinnamon on top every morning from starbucks. They donated a lot of services to me when I worked at other orgs. They are very involved with the bloodbank, BGC's, Youth Shelters and the urban watr project in Central America. I also love that I can request organic milk, bring my dogs in there and that they have fair trade agreements with small growers and roasters. The CEO is very involved with my college and gives money to students willing to film and journal their roadtrips for the KPBS series. Let me know of a local coffee house who give away the same percentage of their income that Howard Schults does of his?
