In his blog, Tim Berners Lee (the inventor of the WWW) informs people emailing him what he will, and will not, accept in emails. It is very sensible advice and I thought I would post it here - if you follow his way of doing things you will not have your computer infected half as much by malware
Well you need to read more history because the last time I checked - he was alive and working on a form of AI document browser. He also gave a lecture on Logic at MIT a few months ago http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Berners_Lee This is what he is currently inventing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semantic_Web The man is generally acknowledged to be a living genius and if you go to his blog, you will see why http://dig.csail.mit.edu/breadcrumbs/blog/4
HA HA HA - I dont think so - I believe you will find Bob Dole invented transvestites and platform soled shoes. His wife is a mud wrestler from Iceland
Thats right ! - my mistake !!! Humph and until recently I used to point this same kind of mistake out to other people ! I have edited the original post but for some reason I cant change the title of the thread Thanks for pointing that out - it will remind me to be more precise with language.
It was Al Gore that said he invented the internet. But I find that advice valuable and have used it for quite a while.
To be fair, his exact quote was "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet." Creating, not inventing. Creating, as in laying the groundwork to allow it to flourish. "He sponsored the 1988 National High-Performance Computer Act (which established a national computing plan and helped link universities and libraries via a shared network) and cosponsored the Information Infrastructure and Technology Act of 1992 (which opened the Internet to commercial traffic)."
