I saw it a few nights ago with very low expectations and was positively surprised.Ashton Kutcher is not really a bad actor and the story was quite interesting.Even though it's a Donnie Darko Rip-Off it made me think a lot.
Hey yea i seen that in the movie theaters with a guy and we were kinda stoned...sooo i wasnt really payin attn..but it was kinda weird from what i remeber! i didnt really 'get it' though. but ashton seemed to be an alright 'serious' actor...but i jus was waiting for him to make a joke or start to act like Kelso! By the way, i like ur sig! yowwwww we want da funk..da da da dun dun dun...
I just seen the butterfly effect last week.... I liked it.. I thought the story was interesting and that ashton kucher was great in it... throughout the whole movie i kept saying.. this is fucked up!!... but it was a trippy movie and i liked it
I saw it, rented the DVD and watched the directors cut first because that is what my brother told me to do. Then, a friend of mine was over and I decided we should get more use out of it so we watched the theattrical version with my parents. My dad and I both fell asleep but my mom and my friend stayed awake. After the movie, my friend and I went to sleep. After not even 2 min of being in bed I heard my door open and a strange mumbling downstairs. I heard my dad get up and started talking to somebody. I went downstairs and my friend said her dad was picking her up because her teeth hurt. (She had gotten some teeth pulled more then a week before, and she had been taking all the pain killers she was supposed to.) Turned out she stayed up part of the night with her dad and ate food. Didn't go to the ER or anything. I thought nothing at the time. Another friend ironically got the same amount of teeth pulled the same exact day by the same exact surgeon. She told me that her teeth didn't hurt one bit, and she too took the pain killers as proscribed. Then it hit me! My friend who spent the night used to not be allowed to see rated R movies when we were 14, and I had forgotten if that has changed or not. I don't remember it changing, and ever since then she has not wanted to come over. Do you guys think that her not wanting to visit me at my house has somehting to do wiht the situations in the movie? ie. molestation, murder, prison life, etc.?
i think if your gonna see this movie you need to see the directors cut. It makes you feel alot better about Ashton's character and on giving up his own happiness for everyone elses. Even though I personally thought the movie should have been over on Life #3 (when Amy smarts character was in love with the kid who had gone physco and Ashton had lost his arms)
i thought it was an amazing movie. i absolutely love it. i think he could have changed things and still have been with her (or alive) ..... which pisses me off. i kept telling him to change what i wanted him to, but he wouldn't.... it was very frustrating
I saw it in theaters, I thought it was one of this years best movies, and ashton did a good job with it.
