they better not be doing any drilling outside my house. they've been doing work all week and not even 10% down, they're doing the whole damn street, so they're only doing parts at a time. and now i hear a truck going right now. better not be doing any digging
you know how it works, though......... they always get a bunch of illegal workers who do nothing but stand there with a shovel in their hand, but yet, I never see them dig anything........ I see that all the time. geez. and it takes them forever to fix a damn road....... yeah, you are guaranteed to have a mexican show up everytime they are supposed to be there, but alot of times I never see them do anything. you see one person working while the others stand around watching.
no illegals here, not in my neighborhood. other parts of boston, sure, but not here. believe me, they'd get run out of here so fast - not saying thats right, just saying thats what would happen on the whole not digging thing i agree though, they sit around most of the day.
and our taxes are going to them!! yet, I hardly ever see them do anything. one person does all the work, and yet my taxes are paying for all of those who are standing there doing nothing!
check out the police details. send like 3 cops to one dig site in my neighborhood. yea, you really need 3 cops standing around. but they get over $40/hr here for details - per cop. now, thats just for a simple dig site in my neighborhood. take an event like the red sox game. yea, how many cops go on "detail" there? yea, lots of money thrown away...
you put a large force of upper brass of police on details? because a lot of the police are high ranking officers and they don't do details, normally
by crispy creme you mean dunkin donuts right? i'd rather have cops patrolling the streets than having over staffed at a red sox game. i'm in the process of writing a letter to my city councilors about somethign similar. i had kids come up to me at work telling me that they are scared to play at there local parks during the day. thats where cops should be, so these kids can have a safe place to play and be kids. overstaffing sox games with high police brass is a waste of money.
oh, no doubt i would love to do that, who wouldn't? you'd either be a liar or outsider (not a bostonian) that doesn't make it right though - its a waste of taxpayer money, when they could be doing better things for the community at large
