What the fuck, opec is getting nervous cause oil has dropped? What the fuck, these dudes ride around in herds of camels and imported mercedes and live in homes built from gold. And now THEY are upset.....wtf? One more time WHAT THE FUCK?
Why shouldn't they be upset? No viable alternative (to oil) has been pursued; the world economy has been kept completely dependent on crude so they should be free to gouge for whatever price they choose- right? Hell, the sheeple have shown that they will pay just about any price and those in a position to do something about the price gouging have shown that they will do absolutely nothing so why shouldn't crude be selling for $300 per barrel and gasoline retailing at $15 per gallon? It has been demonstrated that Big Oil can charge whatever they damned well please and we will pay that price and like it. I consider this to be a low point and a signal to buy oil stocks since absolutely nothing is going to be done about the price gouging. Viable alternatives are not going to be developed and no one is going to do anything much about consumption so the laws of supply and demand dictate that the price should be going up and up and up. Big Oil has every right to be frustrated that they can't take full advantage of their monopoly since individual oil companies do not price competitively.
idiotic post..wtf..sand niggers? wtf..greedy? whothe hells the most greedy nation on earth? wtf hell we started world war 3 over oil thats greed thats what u should be screammin wtf over wtfwtfwtf
Anyone been following the big boys' reported profits for the last year or so? Read of their plans for said profits? Especially the part where they do not intend to roll the bucks back into fossil fuels... or any alternate energy sources for that matter. All this has a tendency to cause One to wonder exactly WTF the profits will buy (prolly not invested)...
Yup... I've been beating the price gouging drum for a long time but clearly to an unreceptive audience both online and in RL. It is greed pure and simple. It is off-year election time here in the United States of Corpomerica and candidates are playing the electorate with their "tough on oil companies" rhetoric. Hogwash. As soon as the elections are in the books we'll hear little else... maybe a debate or two but it'll all be tabled because the government doesn't really care about oil prices and wouldn't be able to do much about it if it did care. Big Oil has a license to steal and would be foolish not to take full advantage of it. Change is inevitable- the only question is how much of the world's economy will be siphoned off before the change happens. The fact is the high prices don't hurt enough to make most folks give a damn so don't expect anything meaningful to happen any time soon. We can point our fingers at OPEC and at Exxon/Mobil or the government but the system is in place mainly because we keep willingly paying the price. We are going to get walked over exactly as long as we willingly let ourselves to get walked over.
Its simple supply and demand. Why produce 1000 barrels a day and sell it for $50.00 when you can produce 500 barrels a day and sell it for $100.00. Work less make the same, yup they are doing it the right way! Hurray for OPEC!
