is there a difference of packing your bowl with bigger pieces of weed than tiny little ones?

yeah it's pretty obvious that bud will burn better the smaller the peices...use an electric bud buster and you'll get a fine equal texture.

its good to keep a good mixture of small/medium nugs and finely broken shit. i like to pack bowls in mini layers. on the bottom i like to put in chunky nuggets (this sounds sweet) to filter it from pulling through and inhaling some powderish shit. i do half little nugs and half well-broken up. i think the smaller the bud is when broken, more burns faster, where as if you intermix finely broken shit with little nugs you get a lot of good tasting smoke, and it gets a few more hits on it due to it taking longer to totally burn through those small nugs. the goal is to get nugs small enough that will burn totally through, and having those little nugs surrounded by "fuel" (fine broken shit that burn big nugs without needed a lighter). this makes bowls better in my eyes... takes less to fill burns slower and lasts longer

Big unbroken/minimally broken buds over the hole and then crumbled over the top but not too finely otherwise it burns too fast. Works for me at least

 

Yes it matters. A lot. I fucking hate it when people throw huge ass nuggets into a bowl. That shit doesn't light and you get the shittiest drags off of it. I always break my bud up finely and maybe put a bigger piece at the bottom of the bowl.

For sure! I swear to God no one I smoke with knows how to pack a bowl. Everytime it comes around it's like one giant fucking nug in the bowl....so frustrating, use some common sense people. Not only this, but when it gets back to them, they pack it more with the lighter so you have to collapse a lung in order to get a drag! lol fuck! we need to start "cannabis etiquette" classes.

So yeah, it *does* make a difference.

 

exactly... i put one small peice in the bottom and then grind the rest and put just the right ammount of pressure on it when packing it (not loose at all). Fucking rolls like a bitch on E

 

i usally break it up pretty fine so i dont have to keep lighting it but my friend who doesnt really care about anytrhing just stuffs nugs in there and you hacve to light it over and over.

 

i break up the nug into smaller bits, but not as fine as most people do. I have had a few ashy hits that were gross and burned my tounge, so i am a bit paranoid.

 

I think the correct sequence is pot and then flame.

 

ya. the reason you dont want nugs and to keep lighting it over and over is becuase the more you light it the more the narsty chemicals from your lighter are sitting on your bud and making it taste bad.

if you light it less it tastes better in the end. so if you never light it with a lighter lets say using a magnifying glass this will make your bud at the bottom taste the best possible.

most of the time the sun isnt in full shine were you smoke so fuck it. light it up with your trusty bic and keep it rolling.
