ok obviously a lot of us believe in the legalization of our good friend Mary Jane. I even wrote a paper about it in school. I just want to know your thoughts, what valid reasons do you have to make it legal? (besides its fun)

You may want to check out some of the stats concerning usage, addiction etc on www.erowid.org to back up your arguments. My personal feeling is that there really is no legitimate reason for it to be illegal, which is reason enough for it become decriminilized. Unfortunately, I don't think we will see the decriminilzation of marijuana in our lifetimes.

I can't see it being legalized for along time and America is mostly to blame, it's being "tolerated" in more and more European countries and eventually I hope that the EU will tell america and the DEA to fuck off and legalize it in Europe.

I don't see why it should be illegal, if someone smokes dope all day everyday they aren't harming anyone except themselves. Sure alcohol is ruining more lives that dope ever will.

The only thing I don't like about the idea of legalization is the fact that cigarette companies and big corporations will take advantage of it. Nothing would piss be off more than to see a pack of "Marlboro Greens" or some stupid thing like that. However, I think I would get over that little hang up pretty fast by just buying and rolling my own stuff.

I do believe that it should be legal and exploited to its full potential, both mediacally, recreationally, and industrially. However, this will happen, but not for many many many years. Not because the goverment is just another coporation made up of bitches, but because in order for it to become legalized, that would mean the gov'ment would have to admit to the being wrong and that all the propaganda and ads and shit were all lies. I just dont see the Goverment admitting to the entire nation that they lied to us.

Well, they could just turn it into a 1984 type of thing and destory all of the old marijauna propaganda.

I think they still have marijuana illegal simply because no one's really tried too hard to get it legalized since Nixxon fucked it over, and in the mean time of all that too many organizations started to profit off it being illegal. So, really the only thing that's going to legalize it now is a wide-scale majority wanting it to be legal, and voting for it to be legal.

In my opinion, we really need a pro-pot commercial. I mean, we have all these anti-pot commercials sponsored by NIDA/Freevibe. Why coudln't HighTimes pay for a pro-pot commercial? Maybe we could donate to NORML and fund for one. I think most of the problem is just awareness. All the people are really hearing is all the bad things they keep finding out about it. We need to show the public the truth, that they're lies, and then show them the good things.

Over in Europe I've never seen any anti-pot ads. Plus over here as more research is being done the laws are getting more lax. Government are realising it's not that bad and slowly changin policy. But I think the American government would be too pig-headed to. It's the American mentality of always thinking they know what's best for everyone else. The only non-arabic state ever to have alcohol illegal, you think they'd have learned from their mistakes, but no!

It doesnt matter. Marijuana is marijuana, thc is thc. I hate when people say "well its not the thc" that doesnt matter, its still from marijuana. I had my throat close up once but it was for a brief period and quickly I could breath again. I may have just thought it id. It felt like it, i couldnt breath. Maybe I forgot just how to.
