I'm from the UK, just saw a short report on CNN with no real details. Showed cars being swept through the streets! Whats happening, where is it? They just said England. Are people OK?
a small town in cornwall called boscastle i think thats how you spell it has been washed away by a ten foot wall of water. they don't think anyone hurt but about 100 cars got washed into the sea and there alot of damage to houses and the roads. its not as bad as a hurricane.
Halo! Yar, the floods were in Boscastle in Cornwall, noone dead, only minor injuries to a couple of people, but there are 13 people missing - i was camping just 15 miles or so away, and could see the storm in the distance - was quite intense! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/cornwall/3571844.stm Peace Out
Theres been storms all across england for the last few weeks. None quite as bad as in Boscastle but in staines we had a load of shops all flooded out and up in St Neots the water got to knee high in about an hour :S I swear it feels like the end of the world right now, those films are coming true and global warmings killing off the world....and begining with england!! ......then again it could just be what someone else told me which is the tail effects of the hurricaine Charlie (i think thats what it was called) and the weather front thats effected by the hurricain shifts across the ocean so we get pooy weather too. Ah well i found "end of the world" kind of exciting..... in a "IN YOUR FACE!" way to all the "nah global warmigning isnt hapening" kinda people.
