I want one done on my left ear but I already have my cartledge pierced there. I wouldnt mind getting rid of the cartledge piercing fo the industrial if I have too. Anyways I was just wondering if you think i would need to atleast until it heals... Also is the healing time longer on inustrial?
u should definately wait til it heals. as for healing time, ive had my industrial done for about 7 months and it still isnt completely healed. i clean it twice a day. but healing definately depends on the person also.
I had mine done with a 10ga and put a 12ga bar in it. The top hole was fine but after 9 months the bottom one wouldn't heal. I have a perminant lump it looks crazy. I have to let you know I took very good care of it and read everthing I could about it. And after taking it out 5 years later I have a weird looking lump the size of a small pea on the side of my ear. I totally regret the whole thing.
i imagine it would hurt just as muh as the other cartledge piercing i had done... and sorry to hear abot the pea size lump thing. ha... I tihnk I'm going to get it done on the ear that I dont have the cartledge pierced on this friday. But i did jsut think of something. I wont be able to sleep on either side of my head
I got mine done like 7 months ago and it takes for ever to heal... it'll get infected every once and a while and hurt bad.. but any piercings do... I had a cartiledge piercing and the girl just took it out put the industrial in and put my old one back inbetween the industrial
I got my industrial pierced about a month ago and I don't regret it at all. It looks great and so far I haven't had any problems in terms of infection. I know it is bad but I really don't take care of it the way I should. I think I am going on 2 days without a thorough cleaning. Either way, If you want one I would say go for it. If well maintained an industrial might take 2-3 months to heal but that really isn't so bad. One last thing I would like to add is please don't worry about the pain when considering any body modification. If you want it bad enough it shoulden't matter either way... The pain is only momentary and then it is smooth sailing from there. Then again... I actually enjoyed the pain so maybe I am not the best person to take that advice from. Here is a pic, I haven't realy shown it on the forums so some feedback would be nice. ^_^ I am thinking my next piercing will be a cartiledge piercing right above the lower end of the industrial. You guys think it would look good?
digging the inductrial, looks sick! lots of people i see with industrials have a little bum oon the back of the piercing, the same thing happened with one of my cartilage piercings and its not going away so i guess just take care of it, i'm not sure what causes the bump. does anyone know?
i think those little bumps are like a collection of scar tissue. (? this may be totally wrong) but im pretty sure you can get them removed. i had a small one on the back of my ear when i got a third hole done too far up, and it went through cartilage. after i took my earring out, it eventually wen taway but i dunno if thats true for all cases
This is what mine looks like, finally all nice and healed.. well it still looks a little red but it doesn't hurt
I had a small bump on mine and i kept popping it then it would come back after about a month of that i finally went to my piercer and he said it was a boil and not to pop it but to apply very hot cotton balls to the front and back 5X a day for 5 min for 4 weeks...... its almost gone now... thank god!
