So one of my cat's got pregnant.
She had the kitties today, my dad found them lying in the grass all wet and without the mother. We've had them inside all day, trying to warm them up but their still cold and screaming... I tried feeding them too, but they spit it out, their just too little.
The mother just came inside and i closed the door so she can't get out again, the problem is, she doesn't want anything to do with the kittens. She just ignores their cries, i tried to put her with them but she runs away.
What can I do? Please help! Thank you!

You can go to the vet and get a small bottle and formula for them. A electric blanket or simular will keep them warm. If they refuse to feed then there isn't much you can do. Try getting some advise from the vet. I had a cat that after birth ate three of the five kittens and we took the other two away. One ended up surviving so it is possible.

How about fixing your outdoor cat so she can't birth and abandon more kittens???!!!

Like Haid suggests, take the babies to the vet...kittens are very easily hand-raised with a vet's help.

Yep, check with the vet. You're going to be feeding them every 2-3 hours for the next few weeks. Sounds like you've got a "bad mother" cat. Sometimes it just happens. And I don't know of ANY way to fix that, so it'll be up to you & your family to see that these kittens are cared for.

And yeah, I'd definitely get her fixed. I know it isn't all that cheap for female cats, so if you can't afford that, what about keeping her indoors?
    love,

1st as someone else has said get your cat neutured - is she a young cat? If so she proberly doesnt know what to do herself.
Get the kittens to the vet (they are still alive) and take the mum as well - just to make sure she is ok and the other bits have come out - as well as all the kittens, and to make sure they are hers - you never know she might still be pregnant and you have someone elses kittens. Get the vet to make sure the mum has milk!!!!!

And while your at the vets make the appoitment for the neuturing

    Go to a VET. Simple.

I dont know why people post on forums hoping for expert advice- the only real help for a hurt animal is a vet. Common sense.
the mother neglected them , she will NOT feed them.
    VET ASAP!

ps, you cant get a female cat neutered. they can be spayed.
they dont have nuts to cut off.

Definately go to the vet with the kittens ASAP. As for the mom cat, get her fixed asap as well. If the mommy cat isn't interested in the kittens homeschoolmama is right, there's no way to fix it and it just sometimes happens.

The vet should tell you what you need to do for the kittens. You will most definately have to get a little bottle and feed them with formula. KMR is what I used to use for kittens when I worked at the shelter. You will need to feed them every 2-3 hours. Also kittens can't "go" on their own, so you're going to have to stimulate them to go... try a cotton swab. (Mothers usually do this but since your mom won't you have to) You'll need to keep them warm. They will probably huddle together for warmth to begin with, but try putting a heating pad *under* a cardboard box that has towels in it. You want to keep them warm, but not hot. Also, try covering the box with a towel as well, this will keep in some heat for them. Heat is also a thing they'd get from their mom, but again, she if she won't she won't and it's up to you. This is all I can think of for now.

Please bring them to the vet for some expert advice.
