Novotel Amsterdam, Europaboulevard 10

OK staying for a few days at the following location:
Novotel Amsterdam
Europaboulevard 10
1083 AD AMSTERDAM
NETHERLANDS

So - are there any good coffee shops within walking (or biking distance)? I have seen Goed-Goed listed on a few websites. Its on Churchilllaan which is pretty close, but I can't find any info on that shop except that it exists. Looking for someplace I can get to QUICK (I need to sneak out and get some within about hour or so and get back). I would like hash brownies or space cake, so that I can eat them whereever without worrying about the smoke etc. But I have heard these are duds - anyone have a great experience on pot baked goods? Any info on where and what would be much appreciated.


Also - if I need to take a taxi, do any of the coffee houses have taxi stands next to them? (I understand you can't hail a taxi in Amsterdam - its illegal).

Never been to Coffeeshop Goed Goed which is the coffeeshop closest to your hotel I believe. Don't be afraid to ask at your hotel desk or the doorman for other nearby coffeeshops.

If you take tram 4 into town you will pass the Greenhouse Coffeeshop at Tolstraat 91 before you reach the others mentioned by FlyByNite if you are in a hurry. There is a tram stop very nearby.

Space food is very hit or miss in Amsterdam. The Greenhouse in the centrum carries a good space cake now but not sure if the Greenhouse Tolstraat closer to you carries space food.

There are not that many taxi stands in Amsterdam. Few coffeeshops have taxi stands next to them. Taxi stands are more likely to be found outside large hotels and other very busy locations in Amsterdam.
