I love Nina Simone! I first heard of her when I brought a cd called "Jazz Cafe" which is just a compliation of jazz artists from the 40s ,50s and 60s. I heard the other woman and was absolutely intrigued. I think that her orginal version of 'Don't let me be misunderstood' is the best one ever recorded. My favourite songs by her are: Excatly like you and her version of here comes the sun and my baby just cares for me:)

It really is great to find that people on this forum are nina fans as well:)

Nina Simone is amazing. My favourite track is Sinnerman; it's about 10 minutes long and sounds largely improvised - it's just kinda packed with energy, I love it. It was used to great effect at the end of Inland Empire by David Lynch.
