Reason for Phish breaking up

You'll probably think this complete crap and I kind of do to but my neighbor who is friends with this sound technician who worked with Phish says that supposedly, the reason Phish broke up was because Mike made some moves on a Hell's Angels girl and later her boyfriend found out and told him that it was either his career with Phish or him.

If anyone knows anything about this, true or untrue, would you please tell me. It's most likely complete bogus, considering the rumours Phish is coming back but yeah...

 

Ummm....Mike was arrested in 8/2003 for tresspassing and "endangering the welfare of a minor" because he was taking photos in an old boathouse by the Jones Beach venue where the Dead were playing. Nothing happened. He just showed poor judgement; we all know Mike doesn't exactly live on planet earth.

Anyway, he was cleared of doing anything wrong, so your friend is full of shit.

Phish broke up partly because of hard drug use.

I hate all these false rumors floating around. People need to know their shit because they yap their dirty little mouths.

 

Trey also talks about how the "spark" was gone, or something to that effect. In his AOL interview he said that he wanted the band to comtinue to be friends and not continue on until the music/touring becomes meaningless and unenjoyable.

 

it wasnt meaningless to all the lives they fufilled. I only made it to 6 shows because i was young, but they were 6 of the best expierences of my life, and i want more more more

nice, long video about alot of different things, covers the breakup.
i always thought that trey thought phish had run it's course and they broke up to "preserve and respect it".

 

I just was listining to "trey day" on sirius satalite radio on the jam_on station yesterday. All day trey was dj-ing playing whatetver songs he wanted. Trey had Tom Marshall on for a while and they played alot of original versions of songs, and some unrealeased material. It was great to hear them talking about good old times together and I could just tell by the way trey was reminising that he wanted phish back together, and that its going to happen.

 

fuck man, i wish i had been able to experiance a phish show. i just hope they will play at least once when im 18 or something. ive already missed the dead, id hate to miss phish too..
