Just thought I'd put my oar in here too as I am a big Janis fan. I've done everything I can to remember her today as I'm sure many others are doing. She was a great lady and uncommonly talented.

I have the Monterey Pop '67 on dvd, and this was the first time anyone outside of San Francisco had seen her. There is this great shot of Mama Cass watching her with her mouth wide open......shit is so sick. The best version of Ball and Chain ever

I bought it online (Amazon.com)...paid as much for it as I would have in the store.I highly recommend everyone check it out. I already feel like I was born too late, and this will kinda depress anyone who feels the same. But you gotta check it out.

    Janis is my favourite ever...

even better than monterey pop is the documentary 900 nights, all about big brother, how they got started and how they ended. it has some really good live performances on it, interviews etc.

I would've made woman love to the lovely Janis.. she was definitely an untraditional, petite beauty with the voice of a very unorthodox angel.

Jesus Christ, I love Janis Joplin.

    Yessss...

I love Janis incredibly so! Words are truly not enough!

SPEAKING OF JANIS!!!!- so hollywood's gonna make a move, & for their star, playing the rule of Janis, they're thinking scarlett johansen or pink...... ummmmmmmmm, yaaaa......for anyone who truly knows janis, you must have to agree w/ me when i say i don't think either of them can pull that off....sure scarlett's a perty lady but, no, she can not be her,...just, no

    i think i will protest these choices...ri-freakin'-diculous:mad:  :(
