Damn, there have been some great threads in here for the past 2 weeks, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of discussion or debate (other than Balbus' gun thread and Foley's sexual perversions). So, what's up?
Frankly I noticed ever since the politics forum got divided up there's been alot less posting, same with the music/movie forum, and I don't mean less in one specfic area cause it went to another sub-forum, just in general alot less.
No big news, no arguments... as simple as that. You should have been here during the Israeli occupation of Lebanon... lots and lots of activity.

Immaturity starts flame wars, not opinions. Do post, especially if you are Republican. This forum needs more good discussion.
The politics forum was full of swaggering right wingers at one time, ready and whiling to pick a fight. After 9/11 they were here calling people traitor for not supporting Bush. They gloating at how quickly Afghanistan was liberated and made into a decent, democratic and safe place to be. Then it was back to calling people traitor for doubting the reasons for going to war in Iraq. And more gloating at how quickly Iraq was liberated and made into a decent, democratic and safe place to be. Honestly it was so bad that the rule about having a 100 post before being allowed to post here was brought in and Skip had to purge the site of many people that basically just came here to scream abuse at the pinko hippies. ** Then things began turning soar and they stopped swaggering, stopped gloating and they left. The problem was that all the things the ‘pinko hippies’ here had warned against or argued were wrong turned out to be right. If there is such a think as victory in political debate this is it. The opposition has ceded the battlefield. ** It seems sad to me, because I don’t think that they have changed their views they are just not willing to discuss their views. The mentality is the same they just feel they were let down. **
