Doesn't psilocybin produce the same effects as LSD, just lasting shorter of a time? LSD trips are reported to last between 6-12 hours while psilocybin trips are reported to last 3-6 hours. Isn't that one of the only differences?
The thing, in terms of the effects of them, that is similar is that they both make you think different, feel different, and have hallucinations. But, the way they do all that is VERY different.
Shrooms are (from my limited experience mind) more of a backround type of enhancer. You get light visual hallucinations (compared to acid), moderate tactile and moderate audio. It's a more subtle type of trip. Acid, on the other hand, can have EXTREME audio, visual, and tactile hallucinations, and it's more of a mind fuck (depresonalization/derealization/ego death are easier to achieve than on shrooms). so in conclusion: Shrooms guide and enhance a spiritual journey. Acid grabs you by the balls and takes you on a long, strange trip. Also with shrooms the afterglow is kindof a nice fuzzy feeling. With acid, it's more of a relief that things stopped moving so much, and the skeletons are gone.
actual hallucinations on acid are rare. it distorts perception so grossly, things appear to be altogether different. shrooms are a different story. since psilocin is n'n-dmt with an alcohol group, you may actually see something that's not there, with higher doses (i.e. 20+ mg of psilocin) L has its strengths though; potency is much greater, the experience is longer (some enjoy that), and L is awesome for insightful reprogramming. I've done more L than shrooms over the last 12 years, but I don't drop 'cid anymore (not that I never will again, my better half doesn't currently want me to) though I will do shrooms. L will always have my utmost respect.
Actual hallucinations on acid are actually common. Mushrooms and acid are very similar - acid can definitely be a liitle bit more intense and last slightly lomger - otherwise, not much difference.
as in seeing something that's not there? i've never experienced that, not even on a tenstrip of white fluff, 7 purple gel, or 5 drops of liquid. I did see bricks appear to cascade of a building once, but never a person or form materialize in front of me. no one I know has either, not that it can't happen. hallucinations in the sense of synaesthesia, tactile, auditory, and visual distortions...definitely.
Yea, only on mushrooms did I ever get that kind of trip, alghout it always feels more like buzzing on opiates and drifting off into the dreams, except psychedellic, not scary (Well, sometimes it's scary, but not as bad )
Anyone else get that like strong, loud buzzing in your head while tripping? I always get it, and I get it on opiates too. Kind of like, the best feeling in the world But not like the regualr trip buzz, I mean where like you cant move while it happens, and it's really fuckin powerful feeling. It only lasts a few seconds though....
none gave me actual hallucinations... even in a pretty strong acid trip... a persons face splits in half and stuff, but its not blood that flowing its like a winter of visuals. its still kinda discusting lol...I understood it could just distort around , sometimes madly, but nothing was added to what I perceived as real.
on acid? kind of waves of sound? and they take ya out for a ride? or a buzzing sound like just when you talk around , lol this is annoying
hehe I have to lay down and get away for good, walking around with these waves is pretty much hell for me lol
