I know I've mentioned our piggies on here a few times. Our beloved little Junior passed away yesterday evening. He was fine in the morning, popcorning around the living room & rumblestrutting with Mr. Pigg just like normal. He was eating fine and there were NO sign of any problems. We took off to run an errand, and when we came back he was gone.

Junior was not quite 2 years old... very young as far as guinea pigs go. His cage-mate Mr. Pigg is currently 6 years old, and other than having epilepsy he's still going strong so we're pretty sure it must have just been a quick "something." We disinfected everything & gave Mr. Pigg a bath last night & threw out the bedding that had been in there, but I really don't know what else to do. We're praying that the other two boys will be okay. And so far they are.

This was my daughter's special piggie, and she is dealing with it really well. She's asked if we could get another piggie, but since we were already looking at getting her fish in February I think we're going to move that up a few months instead. At this point I've got one quite elderly piggie and one that can't be housed with anyone else... adding a new boar would be downright difficult at best.

If anyone wants to see, we put together a small memorial slideshow for him here - http://www.photoshow.net/watch/tF3kw3YJ
