Some drugs send your body into overdrive, psychedelics do the same to your mind. It can be just as taxing, if not more so.

While it's always assumed that most energy gets used up by active muscles and joints and whatnot, I bet the mind actually consumes a hell of a lot of energy, it's the most complex part of the body after all.

It's just like with any drug that makes you feel good. The effects at the time are great but that was just using all of your brains "happy chemicals" at one time leaving al lot lease for later. The more you use them the more your brain will be drained of it's ability to synthesis these chemicals normally as needed. Now as for the Chemical processes in your brain that make you happy with psychedelics those aren't as tired out so to say as with most other reacreational drugs. I think that in the case of psychedelics they mostly drain your brain of the beautiful aspects of life making things seem more ugly and nasty then before. Because when you are on them everything is so beautiful and perfect. It's the same concept as the " "happy chemicals" for short, that i mintioned before, but with the chemical processes in your brain that make things seem beautiful.

My "burnt out" feeling isn't like I'm deppressed or something. If anything I feel really good. But being burnt out to me is more of a kind of "stoned" feeling. But I can still feel good.

And also, acid and shrooms are both very different in this too. With shrooms, I kind of get a feeling of being "clensed" in both mind and body, and with a little bit of a stoney feeling. Acid is more just more "stoned" with varying feelings depending on the trip...Usually for me it's contentness...

I think that a good starting idea for questions like this is that anything you introduce to your body that is not naturally produced/needed, there is a possibility of "adverse" effects. Like the thousands of synthetic chemicals you come in contact with daily, psychedelic drugs are not needed or developed (for the most part) by your body.

Personally, I think that the burn out could stem from overly-indulgent use. As long as you keep a clear head going into your drug adventures, you can come out clean in the end.

    Stay safe. :)
