Who has done the bitchiest mud slinging? Lets just assume that for arguments sake Labour has spread the affair rumor and National have spread the gay husband rumor, which is the nastiest? Which politician is behaving the most like a spoilt child?

    National because

    * it's in no way proven that Helen's hubby is gay wheras Don ACTUALLY had (another) affair

    * They keep showing the series of photos that 'prove' it of him and another guy but they are actually still frames of him hugging a dude on election night, played in real time it's just a friendly, happy hug (that lasts maybe 20 seconds)

    * Don trumpets on about family values, even taking funding from the Exclusive Bretheren and yet can't practise what he preaches.

*Don's affair was with a woman from the Business Roundtable - how does that affect National's policy towards business tax, huh?

    * and finally, even if Helen's man is gay, SO WHAT? It's not morally wrong to be gay, maybe he realised after they were married. Maybe he's bi...whatever, it's not morally wrong and they aren't hurting anyone with their marriage arrangement. It works for them so that's grand. Whereas Donnie is hurting his wife with his affair - morally he's on far more shaky ground than Helen.

Trevor Mallard was a bit childish is starting the whole thing (although it was quite a good burn), but National's response has been petty, silly and misinformed.

oh man, I thought i was going to cough up a lung i was laughing so hard...Trevor and Pete Hodgeson did this dance thing for charity last night....oh my god...it was like some spazzy electric boogaloo hootenany..i have new respect for the pair of them, they made such dicks of themselves. And then, just when it couldn't get any better, Nightline edited the footage together with some of the shallow insults from the house and put it to an MC Hammer soundtrack...oh man, it was hard to remember to breathe.

    lookie

on a side note - my god I love Nightline. They really don't give a fuck anymore (well, did they ever?). The other night as 'background' music for the weather, they had the Snakes on a Plane theme song. it was sheer magic.

I just love TV3 in general, everything about it is just so much cooler than Snorelax Simon Dallow and Miss Unpersonality (with just a tad of a bung eye) Wendy Petrie. No wonder everyone has gone to TV3! And oh my god I so HAVE to see that remix footage!

You know you're a goddess for posting this.
Thank you Soph. Hope you're doing well

(P.S. Dylan told me about Jovian's long distance man recently! Ooooh! Go Jo!)

Give Sarah and Jo my good luck for zams, and best of luck for you too... ...not that they aren't ages away.

    Love and cheap cask wine.
    Matty.
