Wanted to introduce my first dread! I made it today. (no wax) Happy it turned out good And there will be more! Here's two pics of it.
It looks like a rubber band. Bands are great, especailly for controlling the tips, but m ake sure to keep an eye on them, that they don't melt into your hair, or that your locks don't absorb them!
I think that one will look nice when it gets older. It looks so smooth and even. But watch up, once u make one, you'll start to want your whole hair dreaded At least that was the case for me, also started with one... ended up with 50 hehe.
heh. And yeah, Yakima, bands are great for helping to shape tips and hold roots. I did it, and I recommend it! Namaste
Hopefully I will end up with all my hair dreaded too Noticed you are from Sweden, Aqueous. Where in Sweden are you from?

Yakima, I'm from stockholm and live in Stockholm. hmm do you mean "jag älskar dig"? Or did you mix it up with like dutch or icelandic or something.. lol - it sounds ancient.
Soaringeagle, took the opportunity to look through all those amazing pictures. 1) Your dreads are BEAUTIFUL 2) WOW, where and when did you take that pictures and can I come to the next one?haha. That looks like something everyone would want to be present for.
Jag bor också i Sverige, i Oskarshamn. Kul att träffa lite fler svenskar Vad gör du om dagarna då? Ha det bra!
Tha was the rainbow gathering in west virginia & defintely ya should come..next 1 is gonna be texas area? arkansas maybe?
Here they are! Some of them are two weeks old, others are just a couple of hours. They are done! I'm happy to have them living on my head
You locks look beautiful! Perhaps once you get done using rubber bands, you could switch to beads. Just a suggestion! I hope you love having dreads as much as everyone on here! Good luck with them! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask! We're here to answer them. Peace and love
