If you introduced your girl to one of your friends and they were all "nice to meet you" etc, and they didnt know each, and both talked like theyd never met before, how would you feel if you then found out theyd known each other longer than you'd known your girl?
Depends on how it's done. Chances are it was just a silly joke on their parts, I'd probably laugh it off.
I would find it suspicious. Why would they act like that if there was nothing there? Obviously for some reason they did it to try and not hurt your feelings. While it may have not been done with mean intentions I prefer to just deal with the truth outright.
