Was wondering if there are any successful techniques for transferring closet clones to outdoor soil. Any info would be much appreciated
once the clones are fully rooted and have shown substantial new growth there shouldn't be a problem transfering them to an outdoor grow. Now there are certain strains that are indoor only and if you have one of those, then it's best to just grow those indoors. You might have to "harden" the clones up a bit, which is just taking them outside more and more each day till they are used to the sun and the weather. That again depends on the strain for if they need to be hardened up or if they can just go straight outside. --Dash
Any indoor plants will need to be gradually hardened to the sun. This is best done by moving them outside on cloudy days or by placing them in shade for the hottest part of the day. In about a week they can be ready for full sun all day. The key is good soil preparation and to best do this I recommend you dig holes first and fill them with half local soil and half your best mix. If you use a mix that is. Outdoor plants need room to root and nutrition. At first they need little but then nitrogen like Rapid Grow is fine in veg. After that I would feed with organic flowering ferts meant for good cannabis flowering like Pure Blend Bloom, Foxfarm Bloom or Earth Juice Bloom. Outdoor plants can take a lot of nutes without tending to burn as easily so once growing outside pour the feed to them. Normally I like my plants already rooted in a 1 gallon pot so they have a root system ready to use. You will need to keep them watered often at first. BOG Good Luck!
