i know it is sad... but it's too old now and I'm afraid if I put another rat in there then it will hurt it or something...

u can introduce younger rats. put in two more. two young ones. you have to do a sort of introductiion with them. u can find stuff on the net. i have rats too. i had to do two intoductions and they aren't hard to do.

dude all u gotta do is put em in the tub where neither of them have been before 'common unknown territory'

or split their cage, and switch sides they live on every day for a week till they get used to each others scents...

or both techniques, look it up online if you want or i can find links

No idea about bonding rats, but have read up on rabbits and those principles apply.

We only have one rabbit right now, Branwen of course.
I wanted to adopt two but Branwen was the only one at the shelter and my folks kept making excuses not to get another. But hopefully we'll be finding her a friend really soon. They've run out of excuses and I've been a good girl. :)

All animals like having friends, apart from hamsters and some cats (can't handle sharing their space). Oh and we had some goldfish years ago and one ate the other, no idea why. I've cared for some since and they got along fine.
