Around home I usually am nude. It is so comfortable that way. I do have an advantage as I live alone, so there is no one to offend. Other than one trip to a nude beach, J haven't been to a public place wher nudity is accepted.
Well, two weeks ago(ish), I went to the Fremont Fair and Solstice Parade up here. I saw two completely nude people walking the street as well as a gazillion nude bicyclists and no hassles. There's a nudist up here named Mike Storey that makes a point of walking around nude in public with little harrassment. I think it depends on where you live in this country.
Very true, because Seattle is a wonderful city. The previous weekend (6/10/06) was the World Naked Bike Ride and Seattle was one of the participating cities. So there were nude cyclists for the Fremont Fair and Parade, very cool.
That's Mark Storey. He's written a book about the history of "nudist movies" and he's the associate editor of the Naturist Society's magazine. But as you say, it depends on where you live. In most cities if there were naked people out on the streets, the cops would attack with napalm.
I live in Holland, and I am a nudist.. I love living naked and barefoot. Barefoot isn't a problem where I live ( alternative left wing and alternative university city) but being naked in public is not allowed.. also here the cops do come ! I'd love to be naked erverywhere..
Hi peter1963 welcome to our wonderful nudist, naturist forum. I'm looking forward to your future posts. A transgendered, nudist's, barefooter, I like you already.
I was raised as a nudist. It made the teen years a little weird but ultimately I think it made me less self concious and more open about bodies and sexuality.
My boys were raised nudist and now that they are teens they act like it never happened. I hope they have gotten as much out of it as you - you make me have hope!
by your posts you and i are kindred spirits. my best friend is a straight white woman with 2 kids. she raised her kids the same way. how did they become embarassed by their bodies? it was peer perssure my opinion? my friend michelle's kids tried to fit in as teens. now they are returning to their roots. kids get such negative messages about body image it is a wonder any of them can cope.
I just hope it has given them the ability to see beyond body type and realize every body is beautiful in it's own way. Wouldn't that be nice?
Tarabelle, that is the message she has tried to convey and they seem to be getting it again. Unfortunately kids, get such horrible messages from peers and media. These kids seem to be more enlightened than their peers and can see the beauty in everyone.
You know, Tarabelle, your boys may be rebelling simply for rebellion's sake. Teenagers have been known to do that every now and then. Take me, for example. My mother has always been so modest as to make Queen Victoria look like Tara Reid. When I was growing up, she wouldn't even let me go walk around the house without a shirt. Surprise, surprise -- when I turned thirteen or fourteen, I started stripping down.
I'm a nudist, have been one since I was 19. I don't go nude at home, but I do on beaches and at nudist clubs and camps that I go to. Though I'm not much to look at without clothes on. You can see a newspaper article about my naturist activities at: http://www.myspace.com/fatpizzaman Feel free to add me to your friends list if you're on myspace.
I am nude at home as often as circumstances allow. In the summer, I go to nude resorts, beaches, and private parties. I'm forunate to have a section of my yard that is not visible to anyone else. I use that as well. including our pool.
hi, i am mostly a closet nudist at the moment. would like liberate myself when i move to melbourne from hobart.
I'm a nudist when I can be. Sleep naked and when the house is empty then I am also. My parents really dislike nudity. Because society has taught them that Nudity = Sex. So not until I move out will I become more than just a house nudist. =]
Ha, in supposedly liberal Brighton, site of the UK's first nude beach, we were not allowed to do the WNBR fully nude - anyone displaying what the police chief called "rude bits" was liable to arrest. Which reminded me of that old Frank Zappa song, "what's the ugliest part of your body?"
