question that i cant find answer to

Hey i want to grow my own papaver somniferum poppies to get my own opium, but i had a few quick questions that i cant seem to find the answers to.First off, i was wondering if as soon as you scrape the opium off the pod, it is good for consumption. i would also like to know if you can just scrape off the white ooze as soon as you see it instead of letting it seep for hours, and let it oxidize somewhere else.

 

It is, but it's easier to let dry on the pod.

 

well .. if you take the plant out of the ground that could kill it.. I believe the pods have a few rounds of opium.

 

just out of interest...this bears no significance to the thread... can u grow poppys indoors. if so what sort of lighting do you need...watering etc???
