hello, I am have both american and mexican nationality (parents are mexican but I was born in US). I currently live in Mexico. OK, the thing is that I am soon to graduate from college and want to live and work in Canada. Would there be a problem? Do I have to become a resident or require some sort of lenghty process to be able to do so? OK, that's one thing... what about my girlfriend, which only has mexican nationality? Would she have more of a problem? I'm supposing so.... well, any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!
it will probably be a little tougher for your gf, but i don't really know enough about it. i know my gf is American, but she goes to school up here in Canada, and she had to get a permit to study... i can ask her about it (how long it takes, etc), but she doesn't work up here, just goes to school. she does mention once in a while that it can be a bit of a hassle, but that's expectable, i guess. check out the canadian government's website, might be somethin' on there.
They tag a value to your skills based on education, ability to speak english and french, etc. Get enough points and they let you in.
I remeber doing a test similer, to one they give the immigrants... Let me just say im happy i was born here ... But that was back in grade 9...
