so im currently looking for something new, as i broke my one nice bowl and ive been using friends pieces lately or my shitty metal one hitter... does anybody on here own/know someone with a Raydiator? i remember when they were new-ish when i was younger and just started smoking, and i thought they were some crazy space age shit. anyways, does anybody know anything about them and whether or not they really compair with glass? ive read about them online and it makes sense that since titanium has such a high oxidation temp, they shouldnt taste shitty and metallic, but ya never know. help?

Ive smoked out one before, and i really enjoyed it.

    its a great pipe.

i prefer the proto pipe, but the raydiator has a carb, which is nice.

no, and i don't think it has a tar trap either, but it does have a metal pick.

its really got nothing on the proto other than looks and the metals its made from.

and ya gotta watch out not to break the glass beams, so its not as durable as the proto, but the beams are cheep and easily replaceable.

yeah... i looked at a proto also, but i dont like the idea of brass. maybe its a different type of brass or something, but brass has a horrible taste, i cant imagine making a pipe out of it. titanium and aluminum seem much better than anything, especially steel. i dunno, i love glass and would usually never smoke from anything metal, but this looked like it might be an exception.

anyways, whats so great about a proto pipe? im not doubting that they're good, i just dont know anything about them really.

I love the proto because of the convenience factor for shows. I rarely use mine when not at a show. The proto has a compartment to store your herb it holds enough to fill the bowl five times plus the original bowl with a cover so you can get get 6 nice bowl packs for a show. I don't like keepingn up with more things than necessary at shows. Light on a leash, weed and bowl in the same package. plus the proto is considerably cheaper than this raydiator
