i didnt know which thread to post this in up there so i just decided her cause' i got confused but i was curious if anyone were to know any metal or hard rock bands that include lots of orchestral instruments like cellos, harpsichords...etc. i think that'd sound reallllllllly cool but i have never found any bands like that. if you know any plz tell me id love it thanks
Try some Blind Guardian, My Dying Bride and Limbonic Art. Very different from each other but all three of them are to some degree symphonic metal bands. I agree. The album Stormblast is a masterpiece, but you might like the newer, more modern-sounding albums.
Yngwie Malmsteen does a lot with orchestral music. Apocalyptica is a cello quartet that covers a fair amount of metallica, and does some great originals.
its not metal, and only a portion of their songs could be considered "hard rock," but you certainly may enjoy rasputina. i know i do. cello rock....
