I was going to get one but now I'm not sure after reading one guys response to it in another thread. Being as said thread might be dead since noone replied I'll start a new one. Can you feel it when you have sex? Does it hurt? Also the infertility thing I couldn't find much information on but seeing as I have a consultation with my gyno coming up I'm sure she'll at least know about that, but sex? I only trust you fine people and not professionals. God forbid she's getting paid to sell a product and my boyfriend ends up fucking a clothes hanger. p.s. I'm doing it to get off my birth control pills because I believe they make me pms and I get nasty sometimes if I forget to take one. I want off hormones if I can since I had the same reaction to the patch (depo went great but it's not 'healthy' in the long run they say)... also since I will be moving out on my own once again I simply will not have insurance to pay for birth control and don't think I can bring myself to use a condom (if you have to, spam me on that, but it won't help my situation, condoms suck and we both like sex, neither of us can phantom using them... ever again)
I tried using an IUD and it was a disaster... First, no matter how many times my gyno trimmed the ends of the strings, they still poked my man every time we had sex... and I mean poked as in actually pierced the skin. We tried a couple different brands but eventually just gave up... and that's when the nightmare of removing the IUDs started. It was so painful and I almost had to have surgery to remove them. Unless you've already had children, stay away from IUDs! They really aren't worth it.
i have never used one and never would i'm beginning to think i will just use the condom other methods of birth control are a joke.
I've been on the pill for a while and am ready to reduce the hormones I'm taking, so I'm going to see about trying the NuvaRing. It's a disposable ring that rests on the cervix and releases hormones that prevent pregnancy. Each ring lasts a week and you use them for three weeks in a row and then on the fourth week you get your period. But honestly, condoms are the best method because they not only protect you from pregnancy, they also protect against Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HIV, Herpes, and Genital Warts. Plus they're cheap, disposable, and can be found everywhere. And the BEST part about condoms, is that the GUY has to wear them! LOL
