Evangelical ecstacy is a little too much to take some times for sure. But I have found that I do not have to spend more than a few seconds at a time dealing with it. I answered the fellow who asked me the question in my title, 'No', and he said, 'Jesus....', I said, 'Oh, that Good News....sorry, yes thanks' and I left, feeling a little bit silly for not knowing right away what he was doing. There is a purpose for everything, and bubonic plague fills some need, or it would not exist. As do evangelists, imo.
So, I say,' Hallelujah!' God bless you all.

I think the ultimate test to determine if a particular religions God is real or not lies in this one question: Does the religion require prayer and worship of their God? If yes then that God is definitely fake. There is no way that a supernatural being, pure and powerful enough to create a perfect heaven is so egotistical and shallow to require worship as a prerequisite to his heaven. Those are human traits to satisfy selfish human needs.

Well maybe occam chose the wrong analogy.

As religion is a function of humans
Then occam restates his proposition. based on human things

Evangelists are as welcome as a cloud of sarin.
    And just as usefull

But when ask the most important thing, Jesus said love God with all your heart and soul and your fellow man as yourself.

He did not say run around worrying about hell or heaven or eternal punishment or reward.

The simple thing(s) are the most important...the rest becomes spike strips in the road to happieness.
