And this isn't just some rag. It's a world-renowned, peer-reviewed scientific medical journal. That makes it pretty well a pure fact, and a direct scientific observation, since there are no published scientific views challenging it.

The Republican Party is a far more dangerous, aggressive, and murderous terrorist organization than al-Qaeda. It's now scientific fact.

Now, let's get those textbooks revised.

as I understand it 50,000 people are supposed to have been killed by the west 600,000 by jihadis.
but of course the jihadis wont get any of the blame for you know beheading people and then posting it of the internet or car bombing civilians because their crimes dont exist somehow

The thread title is: 655,000 Iraqis dead because of U.S. led war.

Whoever actually killed each individual is secondary to the fact that if the U.S. did not invade, the jihadis would not be there....

again this came up in another thread and as I remember before the war we had people saying that sanctions had killed a million and a half people.

so would you have kept those sanctions killing millions more people and pissing off the arabs .

got rid of the sanctions and let saddam stay in charge and possibly rearming .

or get rid of saddam and risk a civil war that would have likely happened anyway, when saddam or saddams kids were not there to hold the country together with terror .

I dont see if you get rid of a dictator and the people of a country start killing each other over religious differences, that you can be blamed for those religious differences .

although you may think america is all powerful it isnt shia and sunni have been fighting since shortly after the death of mohammed thats about 1400 years ago , america hasnt been around that long

That's a valid point Jonny2mad. While I disagree(strongly)with the Iraq war and with many of the US foreign policies, some people need to drill it into their thick skull that certain "tribes" of people have been fighting looong before the US ever came about and that the US government did NOT invent war...or shitty foreign policy for that matter. The government is simply and foolishly following the examples and ideals set by the "great" empires of before. Before the US empire, it was the British empire, before that...the Roman and Ottoman empires, the Egyptian empire...this BS goes back to the first recordings of human history.

jihadi ideology goes back a long way at the moment they really arent as dangerous as they could be , but they could be really really dangerous .

Ive talked to jihadis who want to restore the caliphate which would be armed with nuclear weapons have things like slavery and slave raiding back .

basically imagine the sort of states europe faced in the about thousand years of siege until the 18th century but armed with far better weapons

its possible that the caliphate would also include parts or all of europe this time , so if your talking about american imperialism its not the only imperialism or possible imperialism in the world.
a good book is bat yoer eurabia

being seen to lose in iraq especially to jihadis is a bad thing because it gives them a boost like the boost they got after afghanistan.
I didnt support the war either but if they had to fight it they should have left after getting saddam and not stayed as a target .
