Smoking pot and getting stoned before you sleep is a great way to prevent a hangover. Drinking lots of water will help, but it's rare you'll be able to drink enough to prevent a hangover. Take some painkillers before bed, and then some as soon as you wake up, that seems to work quite well....

the water thing only works if you drink it as you are getting drunk ... for example have an alcoholic beverage of choice, then drink a glass of water, another alcohol, another water, etc., etc.

Probably a bit late now...But for next time!

Some of the most common 'cures' aren't really ideal, such as a walk, fresh air and coffee. You'll be dehydrated so any form of caffiene will just make things worse overall, even though at first they seem so good! Vitamins B and C are good (help the blood clear the alcohol) but even then, if you wake up and have a glass of orange juice your stomach will hate you for it and could punish you with vomitus!

Pot too, while it might feel good at first, you run the risk of increasing the effect of the booze which isn't what you're aiming for.

So, boringly, water is the answer. And at least a pint thereof.

But you can be creative :) water is in everything afterall.

My personal favourite is peppermint tea. You get the water, plus peppermint is good for all round calming of the gut. So if there's some angry butterflies in there, peppermint should settle that down a bit.

(Wouldn't advise it to others, but for some reason that carrying on plan does work some magic!)

Oooh, yes, how could I forget Peppermint tea? That's one of the most amazing cure-all-stomach-and-head-problems-except-maybe-a-brain-tumour drinks there is. Brilliant stuff....

Apparently pure Russian vodka is one of the least hangover inducing drinks because of its pure ethanol content, which is less likely to give you a hangover than when combined with other forms of alcohol, such as methanol....

Milk thistle is great for your liver and therefore great for your hangovers. Although, you're supposed to take a supplement before drinking, but I find it works just as well afterwards.
