You CANNOT tell a woman what or what not she can do with her body. If she feels that she needs an abortion, that is up to her. No man nor woman can tell her no. Thats where I stand.
I'm the exact same, except you worded it better. I really coudn't care any more or less if someone I didnt know got an abortion(or anyone for that matter, if i knew them or not), and I dont see why everyone else isnt the same. This shouldnt even be an issue.
um sorry sweets, i didnt finish off my post (it stopped at the end - my computer was messing up) but here's what im gonna say So, are you saying that if I want to have an abortion when I am 19, 23, 31, or any age over 18 that I shouldn't be able to? if finished my whole post, i mant to say that if a woman doesnt want to have a baby, then she shouldnt. however, if she is emotionally, and financially stable, then i think that she should have a baby. A 26 year old still has a long life ahead of her also. thats right!. I don't think that should be judged on age, for one thing it is discriminating against others who are not under 18. oh all right, but in the law 18 is a very common age. i do think that definelt atleast girls under 18 should have the right to have an abortion- before someone over 18 does. but yes, no woman should have to go through something that strenuous if she doesnt want to. And also, age is just a number. There are plenty of 20 something year olds who I'm sure may not be ready to have and take care of a child. And I'm sure there are a few people under 18 who could if they truly wanted to. I understand what you are saying, but I have to disagree. alrighty, that is awesome. And also, about the life threatening circumstances.. I assume you are talking about women being able to have abortions if there is a medical threat, such as illness, etc. But then if you look at it that way, abortion is generally safer than giving live birth. oh yes it is, in my opinion. i really think that it is and(hopefully) less painfull too There is a larger number of complications and deaths resulting from live births than abortions. yes indeed, but i meant to say that liek, for example, lets say a woman has realized she just got a disease or that the baby was going to kill her-then she should under no doubts be aloud to get rid of that little bratty angel. um.. ok peace!
So Nisha, if I was an emotionally and financially stable twenty eight year old, or however old, but didn't want the baby (for whatever reason - just didn't want it) then I should be forced to have it? or it's immoral to have it? I think anti-choice people are prizing the "lives" of fetuses more than they should (note: not to be totally disregarded). They preach how wrong it is to have abortions when they let living, breathing, walking, talking people starve and go homeless. These people are usually christians and therefore hypocrites fer lettin real people starve while trying to save the fetuses. Ahh, another reason why christians suck.
Eddie... Shut the hell up. Christianity doesnt have a god damn thing to do with the homeless or starving. THOU SHALT NOT KILL is why they have a problem with abortion. I dont think you even know what a hypocrite is. You use it so much its become to you like calling someone a loser. Anyway onto the subject matter. Me not having a uterus, my opinion doesnt count but I'm pro abortion. I dont think you should be able to force someone to have a child. If these people want these kids in the world so bad, why dont they just adopt and shut up? I do however prefer adoption to abortion
I'm strictly pro-choice and in many cases I think women should have abortions, if need be. Afterall, it is my opinon that a fetus is not living until its out of it's mother's body, as that is when it is about to SURVIVE on it's own. Similarly, it's true that yes, they are parasites of sorts. And I don't think the father should have any input in a woman's decision whatsoever. On a related note, this "Laci Peterson" law is just pushing us one step forward into prohibiting abortion. It's just bull.
I just think it sucks that guys can ditch responsibilty like that. The way I see it, the father has a moral and alegal obligation to help if the child is born (not nessecarily as a family, but he will be that kid's FATHER and needs to shoulder his part in the baby's creation.). Anyway, because I think that he should help out if it born, he should least be consulted about it if abortion is being considerd as an option. ultimatley though, the decison should rest with the female, but the guy is an utter bastard if he leaves all the repsonsibilty of the child he helped create with the mother.
i probably agree with whatever staples said ;P but i really don't care too much for the abortion debate, just isnt that important to me...
I think a womans body is there own. however.... i think sometimes today it gets used more as a form of birthcontrol and i dont think thats right. i think more time should be spent on teaching people on all there safe sex options and less ond this
I am very much pro-choice but i do believe that a women should think for a LOONG time about it before actually going through with the procedure. if we make abortion illegal then it'll just be like the old days when women had it done illegaly in uncleans back alleys where we don't even know if they are performing it correctly.
When you said, "the dad", for some reason I thought you meant the father of the girl having the baby, not the father of the unborn child. to which I was going to reply, "WHAT?!?!" but now I see I read incorrectly so I won't. Well, I'm pro-choice. I don't think I would have it done myself, but I'm not going to say somebody else can't.
im not saying all guys are like this, i actually know a dude who stayed around with the mother(whos a good friend of mine) and she turned 16 a little while after having the baby. but around these parts(haha hick sounding) teen pregnancy is a big problem and so far hes the only dude i know thats stayed around with the mother after the baby was born.
hahaha, sorry but i have a girlfriend im in the middle of no where pretty much in the center of the state.
lol. is wisconsin boring? i just drove up to alpine this past weekend for ozzfest, and there's nothing there!
i have no idea where alpine is, but it sounds like its in wisconsin. and yes there is nothing here at all. its like hell, without the fire
u dont know alpine valley? it's in east troy near elkhorn and beloit i guess. it's somewhat near milwalkee (i can't spell) don't u have aim?
yes but right now im not on it, i like msngr a lot better. but i would rather not be one of the reasons that this thread changes topics, so lets not reply anymore about wisconsin when this is sposed to be about abortion lol
From the post above yours : if finished my whole post, i meant to say that if a woman doesnt want to have a baby, then she shouldnt. however, if she is emotionally, and financially stable, then i think (thats MY opinion )that she should have a baby.im not saying she has to, but she could if she really wanted to and embark on a whoel new journey with this baby. if she doesnt want to then for sure she can go ahead. i never said it was immoral to have it. and i follow the spirits and magic within nature but i think it is wrong to say that christian people are the only ones who support the whoel "anti choice" movement. they are a group of people who follow a certain person and shouldnt be judged on that. how many peopel on this board are christian but beleive that woman have the right to have abortion no matter what they want? i dont care if no one answers that question, but i have alot of friends who support abortion and they are christians. how can you say that i dont favour abortion? i just said i did. please readwhat i wrote before and then you'll see. peace my friend, peace.
