i think Cyrus is a great name for a boy. or Morrow (not sure that's how it would be spelled). and for a girl, i don't really know. my mom runs a daycare and she cared for this one little girl who was named Marley. kinda cute.
Argh I'd hate that Well I do like themes, but only fairly subtle ones. boy/girl twins: River Thomas Jude and Willow Tatiana Ruby. Those are my fave names, and willows grow by rivers. So it seems appropriate. Thomas is my brother's middle name and Tatiana is after a Russian princess. Jude & Ruby are after songs (Hey Jude and Ruby Tuesday) boy/boy: River Thomas & Lennon Raphael John Lennon is my fave musician and River Phoenix is my fave actor. As I say Thomas is a family name and I just like Raphael. girl/girl: Summer Rose Aine & Willow Rhiannon Sky I just like these together Aine & Rhiannon are goddesses Rose & Sky are just beautiful things, and I'd like my daughters to be associated with beauty.
girl: Saffron rain boy: River Lennon Of course I do like the idea of giving them oridinary middle names in case they want to use them later in life I have also tossed around the idea of naming my children after the 4 elements earth air fire and water like rain or river for water etc which i think will be the way we will go once we decide to have kids
I like incorporating the elements into names, too. Jonas means "peace / peaceful dove / dove" and that would be air. Not the best example, but we didn't put a whole lot of thought into that aspect of naming him. Lavinia River-Sage is a much better example. She has two there, actually; water and earth. In my family now we have all the elements. Each of us just have a certain elelment that just is us. Steve = Fire, Jonas = Wind, Lavinia = Water (though it's still hard to tell with her, as she is only 6 months old!) Me = Earth Neat, huh? We also have colors that are just us, but that tends to change as you change. We all just wear earth tones. (People make fun of me because my whole family all wears the same colors, almost all of the time. But at least we don't clash!)
I love the element theme too, and plan on having four children so it could work out fine. Air: Sky, Star, Orion Earth: Gaea, Adam (means earth) Fire: Phoenix (or something that means fire/firey, like Neci) Water: Rain, River, Ocean, Dylan (means son of the sea)
lol, on a side/anal squared note - 'Kai' basically means 'food' in Maori. It has a few variations though - like Kai Moana is food from the water/sea.... speaking of which, Moana ( which is kind of pronounced Moh-ah-na) is a really pretty name for a girl, I think.
My parents and their parents have destined us to carry on certain names or twist them somehow... For instance...my mothers fam has the Betty, Belle, Beth, Bethany, Bruce thing going on...my dads fam has the Leonard, Lonnie, Lynn, Lee thing going on Liesel (Leez-el) is pretty for a girl Lake is nice for a boy Lillibelle fits right, but too practical for my tastes Luciabelle is a bit better Bobby is all i have for a boy I do like biblical names too Jediah, Jebidiah, Malachi, Noah Then my boyfriend has the same things going on with his family Anthony, Ana, etc; And Michael, Mitchell... Anais is cute....Adelaire is my favorite... you hear of Adelaide...but never Adelaire Adelaire Eden Liesel for a girl Noah Lake Zimmerman for a boy
